Jean Rhodes
PERAJ

Dr. Rhodes is one of the topmost researchers in the field of mentoring. She is Professor of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston where she serves as Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring. She has published 3 books (including "Stand by Me", Harvard University Press), four edited volumes and over 100 chapters and peer-reviewed articles on topics related to positive youth development, the transition to adulthood and mentoring.


Tim Cavell
PERAJ

Professor Cavell's work has been funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Hogg Foundation, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. In addition to numerous academic articles and chapters on mentoring, Professor Cavell is the author of Working with Parents of Aggressive Children: A Practitioner's Guide, published by the American Psychological Association.

Tom Keller
PERAJ

Director of the PSU Center for Interdisciplinary Mentoring Research. Professor Keller studies the development and influence of formal mentoring relationships as well as initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of mentoring programs. Prior to earning his Ph.D., he worked for several years with a Big Brothers Big Sisters affiliate in Seattle as a caseworker, supervisor, and program director.


David Shapiro

David Shapiro is the president and CEO of MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership. With MENTOR s board of directors, Shapiro guides the organization to serve more youth, more effectively by driving investment of time and money in high-impact mentoring, providing a public voice for mentoring and promoting quality mentoring through the development and delivery of standards, cutting-edge research and state-of-the-art tools.

Alon Galron
PERAJ

Alon Galron serves as the National Director of Perach, a tutoring and mentoring program throughout Israel devoted to the educational, social and cultural enrichment of Jewish and Arab children from disadvantaged backgrounds. More than 22,000 caring young adults (college and university students) functioning as tutor-mentors and potential role models, in an integrated program to develop the child's self-esteem and academic potential.


Ariel Heimann
PERAJ

Dr. Ariel Heimann undergraduate, graduate and doctorate studies were undertaken at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he specialized in Geology at the Earth Sciences Institute. After finalizing his doctoral studies in 1990, Dr. Heimann spent two years of postdoctoral research at the Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio in USA.

Upon return to Israel, Dr. Heimann engaged in geological research at the Geological Survey of Israel, while taking a teaching position at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Starting November 2007, he is the Director General of the Davidson Institute of Science Education, the educational arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science, and is dedicated to the advancement of science and technology education in Israel..
